I don’t think you’d disagree when I say that athletes have a huge influence on the world. They have the power to bring tears of joy or sorrow to a nation. Athletes can unite thousands, their stories and records have a rightful place in history.
In my career in photography, I’ve had the joy of working with some incredible athletes. The stories of these individuals are inspiring; their hard work and ambition is contagious and it is them that have shaped my work over the years and driven me to achieve my career goals.
I like to tell real stories, that are honest and raw, documenting people doing the things they love. I choose to work within sport, as I believe active lifestyles inspire positive change, through physical achievement, mental health or simply the joy of cheering around a telly with friends and family.
As for myself, you’ll most likely find me replacing divots on a golf course, featuring as a once-yearly cameo for my local Rugby club, or ideally, behind a camera.
