The Olympic Opening Ceremony is tonight and it feels like the perfect time to post my new series of personal work, Forever Moving!
As a photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing some amazing athletes and witnessing firsthand the positive impact that sport and training have on their lives. For many, including myself, training is not just a physical activity but a mental reset and a path to self-improvement. Dragging myself to the gym on a rainy Monday morning and pushing my limits sets a positive tone for the rest of the day.
I truly believe that training and sports bring numerous benefits to people’s lives, though everyone’s reasons for engaging in them differ. “Forever Moving” is a studio-based project featuring stills and video, focusing on three different athletes. This project aims to delve into their stories, exploring how sport has transformed their lives and celebrating their unique journeys and motivations.
Through this project, I hope to highlight the diverse reasons why people train and move, and showcase the impact its has on their lives. By sharing these stories, I aim to inspire others to discover the power of movement in their own lives.
A massive thank you to everyone involved.
